Immanuel Quilt Presentation given in Canada.

When a Canadian youth group leader was looking for a visual means to teach Names of Jesus, she stumbled upon the Immanuel Quilt website. She purchased the pattern and the book, and six months later, had her very own Immanuel Quilt to tell the story of Jesus.

Gayle Petker reached out asking for permission to share the story of the Immanuel Quilt with her church in Canada. She even asked if I would be willing to start a Canadian chapter of the Immanuel Quilt Ministry. Honored to be asked, I was clueless as to what it would mean or even look like.

Permission was given to Gayle to tell His Story in a unique quilt. Her church video recorded the presentation, and I was pleased that she sent it to me to watch. It was good. So good, I am willing to share it with you. It may just spur you on to make your own Immanuel Quilt to go and tell His Story.

While making her Immanuel Quilt, Gayle had a missionary from Africa visiting. She told the missionary the story of the quilt that is all about Jesus, and the missionary fell in love with the quilt, wanting one to teach the Names of Jesus to children in Africa. After Gayle completed her quilt, she began work on another to be sent to Africa. Maybe I do need to consider looking into starting IQM chapters. : )
